Community Presbyterian Church has a vital and growing music program with choirs available to members and visitors of all ages. New members are always welcome. Our program focuses on the praise of God through a wide variety of musical styles and interests. Worship, not performance, is the goal. Therefore, musical talent, knowledge and background are secondary to interest, enthusiasm and a willingness to learn and to be part of a comprehensive music and worship program.

Chancel Choir

One of our two adult choirs. The choir leads the music at our 9 a.m. traditional worship service each week. It rehearses weekly, on Wednesday evenings from 7:15 p.m. to 8:45 p.m., singing music that ranges from classical to contemporary. The choir welcomes new members of any age. It is directed by Margo Martin Rhodes.

Chancel Bells

A hand bell choir for adults of all ages. The hand bell choir rehearses on Wednesday evenings from 6 p.m. to 7:15 p.m., and plays in church six to eight times a year. Hand bells are a great way for people who love music but can't sing to get in on the action.

The Singers are directed by Dr. Terri Sinclair.

PAWS For Children

A Playtime and Worship Skills program for children in grades K through 5th grade, meeting on Wednesday afternoons from 2:30 p.m. to 4:45 p.m. The children are divided into two groups (grades K-2 and grades 3-5) for a time of play (games, crafts and Bible activities) and worship skills (prayers, anthems, instruments, choral reading, interpretive movements and more). Children sing music of the highest quality and grow in their love and understanding of Jesus Christ. They present music in worship monthly. (This program runs Labor Day to spring break.)
